Taking part in our expedition-tour, you will have the unique possibility of visiting Esso village, the center of the Even people culture, trying to ride a dog sled and to feel yourself an aborigine of Kamchatka. This traveling will allow you to admire the beauty of the nature untouched by the civilization, to feel cold fresh air and to be close to the unique nature of Kamchatka. Dog sled will take you to the most beautiful places of central Kamchatka to a reindeer herd. There you can become acquainted with the culture and history of the local population that is living far from the civilization in harmony with the nature, and, until now they saved traditional style of life. Due to the help of our professional guides, you will learn conduct skillfully a dog sled, and constant care of our staff will help you to feel yourself cozy in severe winter conditions. Each sled dog has its own character; you will not resist the dog’s charm.   

Day 1. Meeting at the airport, transfer to the holiday village (30 kms.). Accommodation, rest, bathing in the pool with thermal water. Acquaintance with guides, equipment check.

Day 2. Transfer to Esso village (520 kms) with a dinner stop in Milcovo village. Accommodation at the private hotel. Supper. A concert of an Even ensemble. 

Day 3. Trip on dog sleds through the mountain pass to a hunter’s house (6 hours) with stopping for lunch and hot tea. During the whole tour you will be accompanied with snowmobiles. Accommodation at the house.

Day 4. Trip to the traditional fisherman’s house (7 hours), with a lunch stop. Survey of a jurt and balagans (traditional refuge of local people). Accommodation at the house. If you wish you may take Russian sauna (banya).

Day 5. Radial trip to a herd of wild horses (7 hours). Returning to the house.

Day 6. Transfer to the Belogolovaya River, where, if you are lucky, you can see swans. Our way will go through the mountainous region and mountain passes. Trip time - 6 hours. Night in the house.

Day 7. Trip by foot through the Dimchikansky pass to reindeer herds, where you can be acquainted with a family of Even reindeer herders. Night in a jurt.

Day 8. Day of rest at reindeer herds, visit of a herd. For an extra charge it is possible that they catch and slaughter a deer, with preparation of the meat according to a recipe of the local people.

Day 9. Returning to Esso. Night in a private hotel.

Day 10. Reserve day for the case of bad weather. Visit of the museum representing household activities, history and culture of the local people, and gallery of hand-made objects, where you can bye some small souvenirs. Bathing in a pool with thermal water.

Day 12. Excursion in the city. Visit of the State Regional Museum. Visit of the fish market. Buying of the Kamchatka souvenirs. Transfer to the airport, saying goodbye.
