The best time for realization of the tour is: from July 15 till August 30.

Date of arrival on a forming group for 2008: August 1.

The route is in strength of the beginners, does not require special physical ability.

We offer you to make traveling to the unique place of Pacific Ocean – to the Commander Islands. This group of islands is volcanic by origin, in 210 kms. To the east of Kamchatka there are two large islands – Bering Island (our purpose) and Copper Island, and also two small islands - Toporkov and Ary Kamen (in fact, bird colonies on rocks at the ocean). You will have marvelous impressions of severe exotic of the Commander Islands – the state national preserve, if you travel with us. It is rare chance to photograph sea mammals, wild animals and birds, not frightened by anybody, and impressive severe drama landscapes of the island. Also you can be acquainted to the life and household activities of local people - Aleuts, brought from the Aleutian Islands.

Day 1. Arrival to Petropavlovsk. Rest and acclimatization after the flight. Excursion in the city, visit of the museum and historical monuments. Accommodation at the hotel.

Day 2. Flight by helicopter to the Commander Islands. Landing at Nikolskoye village (Bering Island). The population of the island is about 700 persons, including 350 local Aleuts. In Nikolskoye village you will be acquainted with the style of life and traditions of Aleuts, people brought from the Aleutian Islands, you will visit the local museum of ethnography and you will watch slides telling about the nature and the people of Bering Island. Night in a wooden house.

Day 3. After breakfast we shall have a two-days excursion on the shore of Commander Bay on the cape Tolsty. On a cross-country chain vehicle you will make some dozens of kilometers (4 hours of road) to see otters, Arctic foxes, deers, Steller Sea Lions and wild birds. On the way back our guide will also show you salmon spawning in the largest here Sarannoye lake. From the middle of July up to the middle of September you can observe a magnificent show: salmon in scarlet color of marriage. Night in a wooden house.

Day 4. Excursion by foot on the shore of Commander Bay, visit of the grave of Vitus Bering- the famous sailor and founder of Kamchatka. Commander Bering and his officers and crew have spent 9 difficult months and found eternal peace here.
Returning to Nikolskoye village. Night in a wooden house.

Day 5. Excursion on cross-country chain vehicle to the breeding-ground of Northern fur-seals (seal-rookery) (1,5 hours). The population of fur-seals is about 7800 animals. On the weather conditions it is also possible to visit the North-Western seal-rookery. You will see, that by the law of the nature the best places are for harems led by high-powered males, and children's nursery on flat grounds. For a comparison, the weight of a male is 350 kg, a female - 30-40 kg. Returning to Nikolskoye village. Night in a wooden house.

Day 6. Flight to Petropavlovsk. Night in the hotel.

Day 7. Excursion in the city. Visit of the State Regional Museum. Visit of the fish market. Buying of the Kamchatka souvenirs. In the evening meeting in “the yurt” at the local farmer, the unique person Alexander Yastrebov, taste of dishes of local plants. The concert program on the coast of a picturesque lake, the legends, fairy tales. Returning to the hotel.

Day 8. Reserve day for the case of bad weather. Spare time. Good-bye Supper in a restaurant. Night in the hotel.

Day 9. Transfer to the airport, saying goodbye.

Cost of the given round is calculated on each separate group.

Number of the tourists: 8-12 persons.

The note: the program can be changed depending on the weather conditions on the island. Temperature of the air on Bering Island in summer does not get higher than +10+15 C’.

The cost of the tour includes:
1. 3 time meals during all the tour.
2. Service of the guide, during all the tour.
